There's another thing that happens to MK5 VWs as well. Headliner drooping off the ceiling. I got my GTI one fixed a few weeks ago (15 years old but it was like that a while and getting worse as time went by) and the guy at the detailers told me they get a lot of them like that. "One a week", he said jokingly lol.

I’ve got a nd2 and love to daily drive mine, but you have to be very careful as I live in Los Angeles which is suv capital, this is very reliable, this is also a very capable car. If you know how to pack accordingly I would highly recommend anyone looking for a fun sports car. Check out the Miata.

Anyone that listens to this will probably wind up worse off. Diagnose the problem/s properly, or have a professional do so. Or, probably, cost yourself more money/time. _Anytime you realize there is a problem with anything, IMMEDIATELY, properly diagnose!_ ... "potentially fix your car, without replacing any parts" ...
